As the pair reunited for the first since 2016 for ITV2’s Love Island special “What Happened Next?”, Jon confessed he was nervous to see his glamorous ex again after she’d blocked him from Instagram for four years. Following their appearance on the show, viewers were clamouring for the former flames to get back together as they believed they had “unfinished business”. Is there still hope for the Love Island originals? Let’s take a look at their romance… Love Island whirlwind romance They were together from day one and were the first couple to partner up on the show after arriving in the villa. Hannah and Jon stayed loyal to one another during the rest of the show and made it all the way to the final of the first series. There were even rumours the duo were a couple before the show as Jon and Hannah hit it off so well on screen. Five weeks into the series Jon proposed to the former Playboy bunny as he got down on one knee in a bid to get them to win.

Hannah was thrilled and replied: “Of course I would. Oh my God. Oh my God. You’re the best man I’ve ever met in my entire life. I f***ing love you to pieces. Yes, I’ll be your wife.” Other iconic moments from their series included their many arguments in front of the rest of the villa and Hannah telling Jon he made her feel like a unicorn.
Hannah and Jon split While it lasted for a few months after the series ended in July 2015 with Max Morley and Jessica Hayes scooping the prize money, the honeymoon period for Jon and Hannah soon wore off. The couple returned to Spain later in the year as a make-or-break holiday, but called off their engagement in October 2015. Since their bitter split, Hannah blocked Jon on Instagram and they went on to date other people.

Will Jon and Hannah get back together? Glamorous Hannah is now the proud mother to baby boy from another relationship, and Jon went on to appear on The Only Way Is Essex in 2015, and also dated Love Island 2017 alumni Chloe Crowhurst for a short while. Both now single, they came face-to-face on ITV2’s “What Happened Next” alongside their other islanders Jess, Max, and Lauren Richardson on the reunion show. Jon said as he laid eyes on Hannah: ‘I’m sweating! I’m never normally nervous. I was nervous because I didn’t know how they’d be with me. Seeing her today she looks amazing!”

Hannah confessed she’d put extra effort in to meet up with her ex: “You know what it’s like when you think you’re going to see your ex. I thought I’ll definitely doll myself up!” Jon added: “I’ve been blocked for four years on Instagram. It’s been a breath of fresh air seeing her today. I’m now unblocked! I was in love with the girl, it didn’t work out. It broke down and a lot was going on.”

Hannah said: “He was cocky and it the end it broke down.” But viewers at home think their is hope for the couple yet, as they claim to sense “tension” still there between the pair. “I think Jon and Hannah still got some unfinished business.. like I can sense something in between them two #LoveIsland,” one person wrote on Twitter. “I just want Jon and Hannah back together,” said another, as a third wrote, “Honestly feel like Jon and Hannah will end up back together after this. #LoveIsland.”
