Love Island’s Laura Anderson reveals she used to have disastrous, over-plucked brows, but has now found a bargain way to embrace the on-trend bushy look.

After admitting to “being obsessed with plucking her eyebrows” in her younger years during an Instagram Live with beauty guru Scott McGlynn, the star reveals she has been using Pukka Herbs’ Castor Oil, £7.27 here, to achieve fuller brows.

When asked if she’s experienced any beauty mishaps in the past, Laura confessed: “It’s the eyebrows thing.”

Referring to the popular thin-eyebrow trend in the early noughties, the star jokes: “Why was that, who made that up, because they need to go to jail.”

Laura hilariously describes the shape of her old brows, claiming that they were shaped like “a hook,” or “a sad face.”

Since falling victim to the sleek, over-groomed brow style, Laura now hails herself as a fan of “big, fluffy eyebrows,” revealing that growing them back has “taken a while.”

“I don’t even really pluck them anymore,” she adds. “I just sort of leave them, and just try and get them up, push all the hairs vertically so they look bigger.”

Despite her efforts to reverse her plucking addiction, Laura confesses that she has turned to alternative methods to boost the growth and condition of her brows.

“Castor oil, I put on my eyebrows to make them grow,” Laura says.

Pulling out the bottle and a spoolie brush, the former air hostess says that she dips the brush into the formula and applies straight onto her brow hairs.

“This is hair remember,” she says, pointing to her perfectly groomed brows. “You need to condition it like your actual hair.”

She adds: “Now that we’re all putting product on our eyebrows to make them stick up like glue, we need to condition them and use castor oil.”

Laura purchased a big bottle of castor oil from Amazon, here, joking: “This is clearly going to last me my whole life. I just get the castor oil and put it on before bed.”

We’ve got to admit, in the Instagram video, Laura’s brows look amazing and full – so we’ll definitely be taking her up on that beauty tip.
